Franchisee Donates to the Wounded Warrior Project
Local Store Marketing Funds help to generate community support
Martin Gallagher, On the Run Franchisee in Montvale, New Jersey has used his Local Store Marketing Funds to give back to a charitable cause, the Wounded Warrior Project.
Providing medical aid for wounded service members returning from Afghanistan and Iraq, the project has grown in the past ten years from a small group of people trying to help friends, to an organization providing complete rehabilitative efforts for wounded veterans.
Using his LSM funds, Martin has donated $1 for each extra large hot or cold beverage purchased at his store between Memorial and Labor Day. In addition, a collection box was available for customers to donate and be recognized for their assistance. Customers could also purchase Wounded Warrior bracelets and pins.
Local newspapers covered the story during the summer. In the Pascack Press, Martin stated, “We’ve always supported local schools and organizations, but the Wounded Warrior Program fundraiser really takes it to another level. In the end, we’re doing our part to help the people who need it, and if that reflects well on our business in the process, then all the better.”
